Privacy Policy
In short: Filewise does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information. Your files never leave your device or the storage services you choose.
Information we collect
None. Filewise has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data. The app does not send your files, file names or usage information to the developer or to anyone else.
Your files
- Files you keep in This iPhone / This iPad are stored in the app's own folder on your device. They're covered by your device's normal backups, such as iCloud Backup, under your control.
- Filewise can only open folders outside its own storage that you choose yourself with Apple's folder picker (Add location…), such as iCloud Drive, a USB drive or another storage app. Filewise reads and changes files there only when you ask it to. Any syncing is done by Apple or by the storage provider you chose, under their own privacy policies.
- Thumbnails, search, zip and unzip all run on your device.
- If you add a file server, Filewise connects only to the server you entered, directly from your device. Server passwords are stored in your device's Keychain and are only sent to that server. Shared folders added through the Files app (Connect to Server) are handled by iOS, and Filewise never sees those passwords.
Information stored on your device
To work, Filewise saves a few settings on your device. These are the list of locations and servers you added, your recent Move to and Copy to destinations, and a list that remembers where items in the Bin came from. This information stays on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.
Children
Filewise does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
